As one of the key contributors to the evolution of building envelope technology over the last 20 years, Dave has led some landmark policy, guideline, and research related initiatives. These include the Building Enclosure Design Guide – Wood-Frame Multi-Unit Residential Buildings (2011, BC Homeowner Protection Office) and the definitive work in identifying the cause of moisture problems in multi-unit wood frame buildings in British Columbia entitled Survey of Building Envelope Failures in 3 & 4 Storey Wood Frame Buildings in the Coastal Climate of BC (1996, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation).
